Allison and Alex spent their childhoods in neighboring towns in Bergen County, New Jersey. They grew up frequenting the same restaurants, local establishments, and even the same temple, Temple Emanuel in Woodcliff Lake, where they both attended Hebrew School.

In high school their paths crossed several times. They attended the same sporting events for their rival high schools, they both worked at Temple Emanuel teaching Hebrew School, and they had mutual friends even attending some of the same parties. At this point they were on each other's radars and were Facebook friends, yet they still had never formally met!

Years later in 2018, while in their late 20s, they finally had a formal introduction thanks to a well-crafted message that Alex sent to Ally by way of Jswipe (the only remotely cool Jewish dating app at the time). The conversation quickly moved off the app, and a first date was planned at the Tippler in Chelsea Market. The first date was quite the success, and from then on they prioritized spending time with each other every day (even though at the time Alex was routinely spending 20 plus hours a day at his office) soon making their relationship official.

After living together for a few years, on October 26th, 2023 Alex proposed to Ally at home in their Jersey City apartment, with Bradshaw their French Bulldog by his side. Ally emphatically said "YES" and on November 2nd, 2024 they will be saying "I DO."
